My name is Bernard Petit-Homme. My parentage comes from the Caribbean island of Haiti, but I was born and raised on the island of New Providence in The Bahamas. In September 2017 I came to Canada to pursue and complete formal education and training in filmmaking and post-production at Fanshawe College in London Ontario, Canada. My credentials earned are Post Graduate Certificates in Advanced Filmmaking and Visual Effects and Editing for Contemporary Media. Along with these, I have an earned Associates of Arts Degree in Art as well, from The University of The Bahamas.
With respect to the industry, I have worked in various capacities on professional and amateur film and video productions. This is both in production and post-production, giving me some experience that I can bring to any project. An example of one of several projects I was involved in was SONY Pictures’ ‘James Bond Casino Royale,’ shot on location in New Providence and Paradise Island in The Bahamas. On this production I worked as an on-set production assistant within the AD Department. Next, my most recent media related work experience would be my working in various roles in production and post-production on student video and film works. That is, within Fanshawe College’s Advanced Filmmaking and Visual Effects and Editing for Contemporary Media programs, respectively.
