Jordan Morris: Storytelling with Heart, Precision, and Purpose

Jordan Morris is a seasoned storyteller with a deep passion for helping others bring their narratives to life. When he’s not working on a production, he dedicates his time to coaching and mentoring new and emerging screenwriters through his Writer Igniter platform. Whether you’re taking your first steps in screenwriting or looking to elevate an existing script, Jordan is here to guide you. He offers free consultations every week and can be reached at jordan@writer-igniter.com.

Most recently, Jordan served as producer and writer for the Amazon Studios/CBC/Marble Media documentary Mr. Dressup: The Magic of Make-Believe, which premiered to a standing ovation at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival. The film won the prestigious People’s Choice Award and earned five CSA awards, including one for writing. Currently streaming on Amazon, the film has been celebrated for its heartwarming exploration of a beloved cultural icon.

Jordan is renowned for his proprietary concept development process, The Story Forge, which helps screenwriters and filmmakers uncover and define their unique narrative voice. His expertise lies in refining film concepts before writing or production even begins. As Jean-Luc Godard famously said, “There is no point in having sharp images when you have fuzzy ideas”—Jordan ensures those ideas are anything but fuzzy.

Over the course of his career, Jordan has worked in diverse creative roles, including TV development executive, feature film and documentary writer, and production consultant for struggling projects. His ability to craft compelling stories extends beyond writing, as he has also contributed to productions as a producer, director, and designer.
